Consecutive patients with confirmed COVID-19 admitted to Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital since late December 2019, who were either discharged or deceased by February 25th, 2020, were included.

The diagnosis of COVID-19 was according to World Health Organization interim guidance and confirmed by RNA detection of SARS-CoV-2. median [IQR] age was 57 [47 - 67] years and 776 (52.6%) patients were men.
